Recommended Daily Schedule
9:00 am: Meet your guide in Kennecott or at our shop in downtown McCarthy.
9:00 am – 9:30 am: Get outfitted with glacier travel gear: crampons, trekking poles.
9:30 am – 11:00 am: 2-mile interpretive walking tour of Kennecott and the Root Glacier trail.
11:00 am – 5:00 pm: Glacier exploration; hike at your own pace with lots of breaks for photos, lunch.
6:00 pm: Arrive back in McCarthy or Kennecott.
