Alaska Glacier Hiking – Summer Half Day

Overview

No glacier experience is necessary to enjoy Wild Alpine’s Alaska Glacier Hiking – Summer Half Day adventure on the Root Glacier, available May 15 – September 15. Witness stunning glacial features including blue pools, crevasses, surface streams and waterfalls, and even moulins (holes drilled into the glacial ice by meltwater). Very few glaciers in the world are as accessible and stunning as the Root. Its close proximity to Kennecott makes it possible to enjoy a rare mix of nature and human history in a single day.
